Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
1 tablespoon baking powder (aluminum-free)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Hot Sauce
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps with crispiness.
In a large bowl, toss the dried wings with baking powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure wings are evenly coated.
Arrange wings in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. Cook in batches if needed.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Increase air fryer temperature to 400°F (200°C) and cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until wings are golden brown and crispy.
While wings cook, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a medium bowl, whisk together Frank’s RedHot, melted butter, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder.
Once wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss to coat thoroughly.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, ensure wings are very dry before seasoning.
Baking powder helps draw moisture from the skin, resulting in a crispier texture.
