Make crispy cinnamon sugar pretzel bites quickly in your air fryer. This recipe uses store-bought dough for fast preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (13.8 ounce) package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for optional glaze)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for optional glaze)
  • 1-2 teaspoons milk (for optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Remove the pizza dough from the packaging and let it rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  2. Cut the dough into small, bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch square.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Place the dough pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  5. Air fry for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bites are puffed and lightly golden brown.
  6. While the bites cook, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together in a shallow bowl.
  7. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  8. Remove the cooked pretzel bites from the air fryer and immediately brush them lightly with the melted butter mixture.
  9. Toss the warm, buttered bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  10. If making the glaze, whisk the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm bites.
  11. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, ensure the dough pieces are not touching in the air fryer basket during cooking.
  • If you prefer a thicker coating, increase the butter slightly when tossing.
  • You can substitute canned biscuit dough for the pizza dough.
