- 1 bag (about 32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place the frozen tater tots in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the butter mixture over the tater tots and toss gently until they are lightly coated.
- Place the coated tater tots in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously halfway through the cooking time.
- Remove the basket and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the hot tots. Toss quickly to coat.
- Return the tots to the air fryer for 1 to 2 more minutes until the cheese melts and the tots are golden brown and very crispy.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not thaw the tater tots before cooking for the best crispness.
- For extra crispness, spray the tots lightly with cooking spray before adding the Parmesan cheese.
- Use finely grated Parmesan for better adhesion to the tots.
