- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Place the diced sweet potatoes in a large bowl.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the potatoes and toss to coat evenly.
- Add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Toss again until the seasoning covers all the cubes.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the seasoned sweet potato cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously every 5 minutes to promote even cooking and crisping.
- Check for doneness; the cubes should be tender when pierced with a fork and slightly browned.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately as a side dish or add to salads or hashes.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can toss the cubes with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch along with the oil and spices before air frying.
- If your cubes are sticking, lightly spray the basket with cooking spray before adding the potatoes.
- Adjust cooking time based on the size of your cubes; smaller cubes cook faster.
