Wake up to the cozy taste of apple pie with these simple, make-ahead Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats. This no-bake recipe is perfect for busy mornings and keeps you full.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy like almond or soy)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup finely diced fresh apple (or grated apple)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a jar or container with a lid, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Add the milk, maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
  3. Stir everything together well until the chia seeds and oats are fully submerged.
  4. Fold in the diced fresh apple.
  5. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  6. In the morning, stir the oats. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk until you reach your desired consistency.
  7. Top with extra cinnamon or chopped nuts before eating. This is a great grab and go breakfast jar.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, use plant-based milk and maple syrup.
  • If you want a protein boost, stir in 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder or 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt before chilling.
  • These oats keep well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, making them ideal for meal prep on the go.
  • If you prefer a softer apple texture, you can microwave the diced apple with a sprinkle of cinnamon for 30 seconds before mixing it into the oats.
