Ingredients
Scale
1 baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch thick rounds
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large firm pear (such as Bosc or Anjou), thinly sliced
4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brush both sides of the baguette slices lightly with olive oil.
Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp. Remove from the oven.
Top each crostini with a few slices of pear.
Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese evenly over the pears.
Return the crostini to the oven and bake for 3 to 5 minutes, just until the cheese softens slightly.
Remove from the oven. Drizzle honey over the warm crostini.
Garnish with fresh thyme leaves before serving.
Notes
Choose a blue cheese that suits your preference, such as Gorgonzola for milder flavor or Roquefort for a sharper taste.
If your pear slices are very thin, layering two per crostini works well.
You can toast the bread ahead of time and assemble just before serving.
