Ingredients
Scale
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
1 3/4 cups packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and brown sugar together until fully combined and smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time until just incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. The edges should look set, and a toothpick inserted near the center should come out with moist crumbs attached, not wet batter.
Let the blondies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting them out using the parchment overhang.
Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For an extra fudgy texture, slightly underbake them by about 2 minutes.
You can substitute milk or dark chocolate chips if you prefer a different flavor profile.
Ensure your eggs are at room temperature for better incorporation into the batter.
