Make a fun, shareable Caramel Apple Monkey Bread for your next gathering. This recipe delivers gooey caramel and soft, pull-apart bread loaded with tender apple pieces. It’s a perfect sweet treat for brunches or holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped peeled apples (like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch Bundt pan well.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Toss the biscuit pieces in this mixture until evenly coated. Place the coated dough pieces into the prepared Bundt pan.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar until it dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the heavy cream until combined. This is your caramel sauce.
  5. Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the biscuit pieces in the Bundt pan. Sprinkle the chopped apples over the top.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let the monkey bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  8. Place a serving plate upside down over the Bundt pan. Carefully flip the pan and plate together. Lift the pan off the bread. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use apples that hold their shape well during baking, such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.
  • For extra flavor, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the caramel sauce before pouring it over the dough.
  • If you do not have a Bundt pan, you can use a 9×13 inch baking dish. Baking time may need slight adjustment.
