You can make the famous sweet and creamy Chicken Salad Chick Grape Salad at home with this easy copycat recipe. This dish combines juicy grapes, a rich cream cheese dressing, and a crunchy pecan topping, making it a perfect potluck side dish or refreshing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds seedless grapes (a mix of red and green)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. If the grapes are very large, you may cut them in half. Place the grapes in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least two hours. This allows the flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the chilled grape salad.
  7. Serve cold as a sweet side dish or dessert salad.

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure your grapes are completely dry before mixing them with the dressing.
  • You can prepare the grape and cream cheese mixture a day ahead, but wait to add the pecan and brown sugar topping until right before serving to keep the nuts crunchy.
  • If you want a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
