Ingredients
Scale
1 package (14.3 ounces) refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 package icing (usually included with the dough)
Instructions
Lightly grease the insides of four wide-mouth, quart-sized mason jars.
In a small bowl, mix the 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
Unroll the cinnamon roll dough. Separate the rolls.
Dip each roll into the melted butter, coating both sides lightly.
Roll the buttered side of each dough piece in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
In the bottom of each prepared jar, sprinkle about one teaspoon of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Place one cinnamon roll into each jar, placing it cut-side down.
Pour the brown sugar evenly over the tops of the rolls in the jars.
Drizzle the heavy cream over the rolls in each jar, dividing it evenly.
Melt the included butter from the icing packet and pour a small amount over the top of the cream in each jar.
Cover the jars tightly with their lids and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Remove the lids from the jars.
Place the jars on a baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through. The rolls will rise above the jar rim.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
Warm the included icing slightly and drizzle it over the warm rolls before serving directly from the jar.
Notes
Make sure your jars are oven-safe mason jars.
The rolls should not touch each other when you place them in the jar; they need space to expand.
You can use a toothpick to gently separate the layers of the roll if they seem too compressed.
If you have extra icing, you can add more after the rolls cool slightly.
