8 slices thick-cut bread
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
Cut each slice of bread into 3 sticks.
In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt.
Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, coating all sides.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Place bread sticks in the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
In a shallow bowl, combine granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Toss the cooked French toast sticks in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated.
