Replicate the popular restaurant-style Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce with this simple, buttery recipe that coats wings perfectly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, aged
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  3. Reduce the heat to low. Whisk in the water until the mixture is combined.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in the olive oil, dried parsley, black pepper, and salt.
  6. Whisk until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the sauce is uniform.
  7. Use immediately to toss hot, cooked chicken wings.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese instead of pre-shredded.
  • If the sauce seems too thick after adding the cheese, add another teaspoon of water until you reach your desired consistency for coating wings.
  • You can roast the garlic slightly before mincing for a deeper, sweeter garlic flavor.
