Ingredients
Scale
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning mix
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels. This step helps achieve maximum crispiness.
In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, salt, black pepper, and dry ranch seasoning mix.
In a separate small bowl, toss the grated Parmesan cheese.
Dredge each chicken thigh first in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Lightly brush the chicken thighs with olive oil.
Press the skin side of each thigh firmly into the Parmesan cheese, making sure it adheres well.
Place the coated chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden brown and crisp.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Drying the chicken skin thoroughly is key for a truly crispy result.
You can substitute bone-in, skinless thighs, but the skin will not get as crunchy.
If the skin starts browning too quickly, loosely tent the pan with foil.
