12 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pound fully cooked ham, diced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
8 large croissants, cut into 1-inch pieces
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
Spread the croissant pieces evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded cheese over the croissant pieces.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the ingredients in the baking dish.
Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Remove the plastic wrap and bake the casserole for 40-50 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can substitute ham with cooked bacon or sausage.
Feel free to add other vegetables like diced onions, bell peppers, or spinach.
For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
