- 2 ounces Tequila
- 1 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.75 ounce Agave Nectar
- 3-4 thin slices Cucumber
- 1-2 thin slices Jalapeño (seeds removed for less heat)
- Ice
- Salt (for rimming the glass)
- Cucumber ribbon and jalapeño slice (for garnish)
- Prepare your glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim of your margarita glass and dip it in salt.
- Muddle the cucumber and jalapeño: In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the cucumber slices and jalapeño slices.
- Add liquids: Pour in the tequila, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar.
- Add ice: Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake well: Secure the lid and shake vigorously until the shaker is well-chilled.
- Strain: Double strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish: Add a cucumber ribbon and a jalapeño slice to the glass.
Notes
- For a milder spice, use only one slice of jalapeño and remove all seeds and membranes.
- Adjust the agave nectar to your sweetness preference.
- If you don’t have a muddler, the end of a wooden spoon works well.
