Make this simple, creamy peanut sauce in five minutes using basic pantry ingredients. It is perfect for tossing with hot or cold noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Combine the peanut butter, warm water, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, ginger (if using), and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and creamy.
  3. If the sauce is too thick for your noodles, add water one teaspoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed; add more vinegar for tang or sweetener for balance.
  5. Pour the sauce over your cooked or cold noodles and toss to coat evenly.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, add 1/2 teaspoon of sriracha or chili garlic sauce during mixing.
  • If you do not have fresh ginger, use 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger powder instead.
  • This sauce works well as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or vegetables.
