Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen, no need to thaw)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1/2 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)
Instructions
If using frozen shrimp, place them in a bowl and toss with the olive oil until lightly coated. If using fresh, skip this step.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer if possible; work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Brush or drizzle half of the garlic butter mixture over the shrimp.
Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 5 minutes.
Remove the basket, toss the shrimp gently, and brush with the remaining garlic butter mixture.
Return to the air fryer and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque throughout.
Remove from the air fryer, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
For best results with frozen shrimp, pat them dry after tossing with oil to help the seasoning stick better.
You can substitute dried parsley for fresh, using 1 teaspoon.
This shrimp works well over salads, mixed into pasta, or served as an appetizer.
