Ingredients
Scale
1 box (10.7 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar (for swirl)
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (for swirl)
1/4 cup brown sugar (for swirl)
1/4 cup melted butter (for swirl)
1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a standard 13×9 inch sheet pan lightly.
Cut each biscuit into quarters. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup milk, egg, 2 tablespoons melted butter, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and brown sugar for the swirl filling.
Pour half of the pancake batter into the prepared sheet pan and spread evenly.
Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter layer.
Arrange half of the cut biscuit pieces randomly over the cinnamon sugar layer.
Pour the remaining batter over the biscuits. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
Scatter the remaining biscuit pieces over the top layer.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
While baking, prepare the icing: Whisk together the powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Remove the bake from the oven and let it cool on the pan for 5 minutes. Drizzle the icing over the warm bake before serving.
Notes
For make-ahead preparation, mix the dry swirl ingredients and store them in an airtight container. You can also mix the wet batter ingredients (without the baking powder) and refrigerate overnight, adding the baking powder just before pouring.
If you prefer a thicker icing, reduce the milk amount slightly.
