Make this incredibly simple and creamy frozen hot chocolate in under five minutes. It is the perfect cold, blended chocolate dessert for hot summer days or cozy movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (whole milk works best for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup hot chocolate mix (use your favorite brand)
  • 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
  • Whipped cream and chocolate curls for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather your three main ingredients: milk, hot chocolate mix, and ice.
  2. Place the milk, hot chocolate mix, and ice cubes into your blender.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and thick. This should take about 30 to 60 seconds.
  4. Taste the frozen hot chocolate. If you prefer it sweeter or more chocolatey, add a small amount more mix and blend again briefly.
  5. Pour the creamy mixture into tall glasses.
  6. Top generously with whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate curls or a drizzle of chocolate syrup, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra decadent, copycat-style treat, substitute 1/4 cup of the milk with chocolate syrup or fudge sauce before blending.
  • If you want a thicker frozen chocolate shake, reduce the amount of milk slightly or add a few more ice cubes.
  • This recipe is kid friendly and works well for quick summer sips.
