- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it is hot but not boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
