Make a simple, creamy, and tangy ham salad perfect for using leftover ham. This spread works well for sandwiches, crackers, or as a picnic side.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked ham, finely chopped or ground
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Place the chopped or ground ham in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, chopped celery, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and salt to the bowl.
  3. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly until well combined and creamy.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the ham salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve cold on bread, crackers, or lettuce cups.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, pulse the ham in a food processor until finely ground before mixing with other ingredients.
  • If you prefer a sharper flavor, substitute sweet pickle relish with dill pickle relish.
  • This salad keeps well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days.
