Homemade Crunchwrap Supreme offers a delicious way to enjoy your favorite fast-food treat at home. This recipe guides you through layering seasoned beef, nacho cheese, crispy tostada, sour cream, and fresh lettuce and tomato inside a warm tortilla, then folding and toasting it to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 large (10-inch) flour tortillas
  • 4 tostada shells
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 4 small (8-inch) flour tortillas
  • Vegetable oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid has evaporated and the beef is well seasoned.
  3. Lay a large flour tortilla flat. Spread 2 tablespoons of nacho cheese sauce in the center.
  4. Spoon about 1/4 of the seasoned beef over the nacho cheese.
  5. Place a tostada shell on top of the beef.
  6. Spread 2 tablespoons of sour cream onto the tostada shell.
  7. Top with about 1/4 cup of shredded lettuce and 1/8 cup of diced tomatoes.
  8. Place a small flour tortilla directly on top of the lettuce and tomatoes.
  9. Fold the edges of the large tortilla inward over the small tortilla, creating pleats, until the entire filling is enclosed and you have a hexagonal shape.
  10. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat with a little vegetable oil.
  11. Carefully place the folded crunchwrap seam-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Remove from the skillet and let rest for a minute before serving.
  13. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 3 more crunchwraps.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of taco seasoning to your taste.
  • For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef.
  • You can use shredded cheese instead of nacho cheese sauce if preferred.
  • Make sure to press the crunchwrap down gently while cooking to ensure even browning.
  • Serve with additional sour cream, salsa, or guacamole if desired.
