1 cup milk
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup hot brewed coffee or espresso
Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Extra pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg, for topping (optional)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it is hot and steamy. Do not boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Pour the hot coffee or espresso into the saucepan with the pumpkin mixture. Whisk until well combined.
Pour the latte into your favorite mug.
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
For a dairy-free version, use your favorite plant-based milk.
If you don’t have pumpkin pie spice, you can make your own by combining cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves.
