Make a thick, creamy, coffee-free vanilla blended drink at home that tastes like your favorite coffee shop version.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole milk (or preferred milk)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or powder (optional, for flecks)
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum (optional, for extra thickness)
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, vanilla bean paste (if using), and xanthan gum (if using) in a blender.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the blender.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and thick. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides.
  4. If the mixture is too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Pour the frappuccino into a tall glass.
  6. Top generously with whipped cream. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a thicker texture without xanthan gum, use slightly less milk or add 1/4 cup of vanilla ice cream.
  • If you want a coffee flavor, add one shot of cooled espresso or 1/4 cup of cold brewed coffee.
  • Substitute whole milk with unsweetened almond milk or oat milk for a dairy-free version, but note the texture may be slightly less rich.
