Make these Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs for a dependable, tender, and sticky weeknight dinner. You will love the simple sweet and savory glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the hot skillet. Sear for 5-7 minutes until the skin is deeply golden brown and crisp.
  5. Flip the chicken thighs.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and rice vinegar to create the glaze.
  7. Brush half of the glaze mixture evenly over the chicken thighs in the skillet.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the skillet from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the chicken.
  10. Return the skillet to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the glaze is thick and sticky.
  11. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the chicken for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Serve this chicken over steamed rice to soak up the extra glaze.
