Ingredients
Scale
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
4 cups cold water
Fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, gently heat the honey and lavender buds over low heat for about 5 minutes. Do not boil. This infuses the honey with lavender flavor.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the honey steep for another 10-15 minutes.
Strain the honey mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds. Discard the buds.
In a pitcher, combine the strained honey mixture and fresh lemon juice. Stir well.
Add the cold water to the pitcher and stir until everything is well combined.
Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve the honey lavender lemonade chilled, over ice. Garnish with fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices if desired.
Notes
Ensure you use culinary lavender, as other types may not be suitable for consumption.
Adjust the amount of honey to your preference for sweetness.
For a stronger lavender flavor, you can steep the honey longer.
