  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped pepperoncini or banana peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped black olives
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 8 slices genoa salami
  • 8 slices pepperoni
  • 4 crusty sub rolls or baguettes, split lengthwise

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Add the shredded lettuce, red onion, pepperoncini, and black olives to the bowl with the dressing. Toss to coat everything evenly.
  3. Arrange the provolone cheese, ham, salami, and pepperoni on the bottom half of each sub roll.
