1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup water or milk
1/4 cup plain kefir
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Combine the rolled oats, water or milk, and salt in a small saucepan.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the oats are thick and creamy, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Stir in the plain kefir until well combined.
Top the oatmeal with blueberries and maple syrup, if using.

Notes
You can substitute frozen blueberries; stir them in during the last minute of cooking.
Adjust the liquid amount based on your preferred oatmeal consistency.
For a sweeter oatmeal, add a little more maple syrup to taste.
