Ingredients
Scale
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening
4 cups small pretzel twists or pieces
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on 50% power for 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the chocolate is completely smooth. This usually takes 1 to 2 minutes total.
Add the pretzels to the melted chocolate mixture. Gently fold the pretzels into the chocolate until they are evenly coated.
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small clusters.
Refrigerate the clusters for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can stir in 1/2 cup of chopped peanuts or mini M&Ms with the pretzels.
If you prefer a drizzle, melt 2 ounces of white chocolate separately and drizzle it over the set clusters before the final chill.
Store the finished clusters in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
