- 6-8 ripe fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, 1/4 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss gently to coat the peaches.
- Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate medium bowl, combine rolled oats, 1/2 cup flour, brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the peach mixture.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are tender and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
