1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1/4 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup mini pepperoni
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 egg, beaten
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni over the sauce.
Sprinkle with dried oregano.
Carefully roll up the puff pastry tightly, starting from one of the long edges.
Cut the roll into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels.
Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, cut-side up.
Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the beaten egg.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can use any of your favorite pizza toppings, such as cooked sausage, mushrooms, or bell peppers.
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
These pinwheels can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
