Enjoy these fudgy Raspberry Swirl Brownies, a fruity upgrade to a classic dessert. They offer a rich chocolate base perfectly marbled with bright, tart raspberry. This recipe brings a special touch to your baking with minimal fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup raspberry jam or preserves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for brighter flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour about two-thirds of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Warm the raspberry jam slightly so it drizzles easily. If using, stir the lemon juice into the jam.
  8. Dollop spoonfuls of the raspberry jam over the batter in the pan.
  9. Pour the remaining one-third of the batter over the jam dollops.
  10. Use a knife or a skewer to gently swirl the jam into the batter, creating ribbons of color and flavor. Be careful not to over-swirl.
  11. Bake for 28 to 32 minutes. The edges should look set, and a toothpick inserted near the center should come out with moist crumbs attached, not wet batter.
  12. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares.

Notes

  • For a more intense raspberry flavor, use fresh raspberries gently mashed into the jam before swirling.
  • Cooling the brownies completely before cutting yields cleaner, fudgier squares.
  • You can dust the cooled brownies lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
