Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces imitation crab meat, shredded
8 ounces cooked small shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons celery, finely chopped
1 tablespoon red onion, finely minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Place the shredded imitation crab and the cooked shrimp in a medium mixing bowl.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, chopped celery, minced red onion, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, black pepper, and salt until smooth.
Pour the dressing mixture over the seafood.
Gently fold the ingredients together until everything is evenly coated. Do not overmix.
Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to combine.
Serve cold on lettuce, crackers, or bread for sandwiches.
Notes
For a brighter flavor, substitute 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
If you prefer a zestier salad, add 1 teaspoon of fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon of dried dill to the dressing.
This salad tastes best when made a few hours ahead, but it is safe to prepare up to one day in advance.
