Ingredients
Scale
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if you are using them.
Place the trimmed asparagus on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle half of the garlic butter mixture over the asparagus and toss to coat evenly.
Place the shrimp on the other side of the baking sheet. Pour the remaining garlic butter mixture over the shrimp and toss gently to coat. Spread the shrimp into a single layer.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. The asparagus should be tender-crisp, and the shrimp should be pink and cooked through.
Remove the sheet pan from the oven. Sprinkle the dish with fresh chopped parsley before serving immediately.
Notes
For crispier asparagus, you can roast the asparagus alone for 5 minutes before adding the shrimp to the pan.
Do not overcrowd the sheet pan; use two pans if necessary to allow the ingredients to roast rather than steam.
Thaw frozen shrimp completely before using; pat them dry for better texture.
