Make a flavorful, complete meal with minimal cleanup using this easy sheet pan recipe featuring spicy, sweet harissa-glazed salmon and perfectly roasted broccoli.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, harissa paste, and lemon juice to create the glaze.
  3. Place the broccoli florets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, sprinkle with half of the salt and pepper, and toss to coat.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the other side of the baking sheet. Rub the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the salmon. Season with the remaining salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon half of the honey harissa glaze evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  6. Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven. Roast for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the salmon. Gently toss the broccoli.
  8. Return the pan to the oven and roast for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the broccoli is tender-crisp.

Notes

  • For crispier broccoli, toss it with the oil and seasonings and spread it in a single layer before adding the salmon.
  • If your salmon fillets are very thick, you may need to add 2-3 minutes to the total cooking time.
  • Serve this dish over cooked quinoa or brown rice for a complete meal.
