Ingredients
Scale
2 ounces Tequila Blanco
1 ounce Fresh Blood Orange Juice
0.75 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
0.5 ounce Orange Liqueur
0.25 ounce Simple Syrup (or to taste)
1-2 thin slices Jalapeño (or to taste)
Salt or Tajín for rimming (optional)
Blood Orange Wheel, for garnish
Instructions
Prepare your glass by moistening the rim with a lime wedge. Dip the rim into salt or Tajín, if using.
Place the jalapeño slices in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
Add the tequila, blood orange juice, lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup to the shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice.
Seal the shaker tightly and shake well until thoroughly chilled.
Double strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a blood orange wheel. Enjoy your drink!
Notes
Taste your blood oranges; if they are very sweet, reduce the simple syrup slightly.
If you prefer less heat, muddle the jalapeño gently or use only one thin slice.
You can substitute high-quality reposado tequila for a slightly richer flavor profile.
