Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 cup strongly brewed Coffee or Espresso
  • 3 tablespoons Pumpkin Spice Sauce (or substitute with 2 tbsp pumpkin puree + 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice + 1 tbsp sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Whipped Cream, for topping
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine milk, pumpkin spice sauce, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot. Do not boil.
  3. While heating, brew your coffee or espresso.
  4. Pour the hot milk mixture into a mug.
  5. Slowly pour the hot coffee or espresso over the milk mixture.
  6. Top generously with whipped cream.
  7. Sprinkle with extra pumpkin pie spice before serving immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of pumpkin spice sauce to match your preferred sweetness and spice level.
  • For a richer flavor, use heavy cream mixed with milk.
  • You can make a large batch of the pumpkin sauce base ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
  • If you enjoy an iced version, skip heating the milk and mix the sauce directly into cold milk and coffee, then pour over ice.
