- 1 cup Sushi Rice
- 1.5 cups Water
- 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 4 sheets Nori Seaweed
- 1/2 cup Cooked Shrimp
- 1/2 cup Imitation Crab Meat
- 1/2 Avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup Shredded Carrot
- 1/4 cup Cucumber, julienned
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- Cook sushi rice according to package directions.
- In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
- Gently mix the vinegar mixture into the cooked sushi rice. Let it cool.
- In another small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha for the spicy mayo.
- Lay one sheet of nori on a flat surface.
- Spread about 1/4 of the sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Arrange your desired fillings (shrimp, crab meat, avocado, carrot, cucumber) in a line across the center of the rice.
- Drizzle with spicy mayo.
- Carefully roll the nori tightly from the bottom edge, like a burrito, using the top border to seal.
- Repeat with the remaining nori sheets and fillings.
- Slice in half if desired, or enjoy whole.
Notes
- Feel free to customize your fillings with other ingredients like salmon, tuna, or different vegetables.
- Ensure the rice is cooled before adding to the nori to prevent it from becoming soggy.
- For a firmer roll, you can lightly toast the nori sheet before using.
