Ingredients
Scale
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup sweet chili sauce
1/4 cup apricot preserves
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, gently mix the ground meat, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Do not overmix.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs for 15-18 minutes, or until cooked through.
While the meatballs bake, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the sweet chili sauce, apricot preserves, and soy sauce.
Heat the glaze mixture over medium heat, stirring until the preserves are melted and the sauce is smooth.
Remove the cooked meatballs from the oven.
Place the warm meatballs in a large bowl. Pour the glaze over them.
Toss gently until all the meatballs are evenly coated in the sticky sauce.
Serve immediately with toothpicks for easy grabbing.
Notes
You can use frozen, fully cooked mini meatballs to save time. Adjust glaze cooking time accordingly.
For an extra glossy finish, broil the glazed meatballs for the last minute, watching closely so the sugar does not burn.
Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions before serving.
