Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes (in oil, drained)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (for coating)
  • Optional garnish: Fresh rosemary sprigs, cherry tomatoes, extra basil leaves

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, goat cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, sun-dried tomatoes, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until completely smooth and well combined.
  3. Cover the cheese mixture and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up slightly.
  4. Once chilled, place the cheese mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper.
  5. Shape the cheese mixture into a ball. Then, flatten the ball slightly and form it into a ring shape resembling a wreath.
  6. Spread the chopped nuts onto a small plate.
  7. Gently roll the outside of the cheese wreath in the chopped nuts to coat evenly.
  8. Transfer the cheese ball wreath to your serving platter.
  9. Chill again for at least 30 minutes before serving to help it hold its shape.
  10. Before serving, garnish the wreath with rosemary sprigs, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves to mimic holiday decorations.

Notes

  • Make sure your cheeses are at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • If the mixture becomes too soft while shaping, return it to the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Serve with crackers, baguette slices, or vegetable sticks.
