Tuna Noodle Casserole is a classic comfort food, combining tender egg noodles with flaky tuna in a creamy sauce, topped with a crispy breadcrumb crust. This dish is easy to make and perfect for a family meal.

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and peas. Mix well.
  4. Stir in the cooked egg noodles and cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
