Make a rich, creamy cheesecake with an Oreo crust that sets perfectly without turning on your oven. This recipe is quick to assemble and great for beginners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cups Oreo cookie crumbs (about 30 cookies)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies, for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter in a medium bowl. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Place the crust in the freezer while you prepare the filling.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. In a separate, clean bowl, whip the cold heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture in two additions until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the filling over the chilled Oreo crust and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  6. Cover the pan loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until the cheesecake is firm.
  7. Before serving, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Sprinkle the top with the reserved crushed Oreo cookies. Slice and serve cold.

Notes

  • For the best crust, use the back of a measuring cup to press the crumbs firmly into the pan base.
  • Ensure your cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the filling.
  • Chill time is essential for the cheesecake to set properly. Do not rush this step.
